AND TIME
Days of the week are Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Months of the year are January,
February, March, April, May, June, July, August,
September,
October, November, December
Some
well-known days, which are always on the same dates each year:
New Year's Day (1st January), Valentine's Day (14th February),
Hallowe'en (31st October), Bonfire
Night (5th
November), Christmas Eve (24th December), Christmas Day (25th
December),
Boxing Day (26th December), New Year's Eve (31st December)
Other days
or periods which change each year: Ramadan, Good Friday, Easter
Day
Dates are written like this: 1st, 2nd,
3rd, 4th, 5th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th etc
You can
write: 14th May 2003 or May 14th, 2003 or 14.5.03 or 14/5/03 but you say: the
fourteenth of May two thousand and three or: May the fourteenth two thousand
and three.
