Career advice

Are you looking for some career advice it sounds great! The first question is what do you enjoy doing maybe your answer is: Mm…what a difficult question.

By watching this video you will learn: phrases for giving advice like

Why don’t you..?

Example 1: why don’t you look for a new Job?
Example 2: why don’t you buy a new car?
Example 3: why don’t you go to Barbados for two weeks?

Structure: “why don’t you” + verb

Perhaps you could… = Maybe you could

Example: Perhaps you train as accountant.

You Need to…= it is necessary

The use of “You need to” is stronger than “why don’t you” and “Perhaps you could”

Example: you need to be a part of a team.

Now take a moment, try it yourself, and use the previous expressions with Study/consider/go University (Why don’t you)

Then, Perhaps/work/bank? (Perhaps you could)

And apply/university/before December (You need to)

Answers:

If you like studying, why don’t you consider going to the University?

Perhaps you could work in a bank.

You need to apply for university before December.
